Specialised Investment Funds, between mutual funds and PMS
A Specialised Investment Fund (SIF) is a SEBI-regulated category run by mutual fund houses. It can use strategies a regular mutual fund cannot, such as limited short positions, hedged equity and dynamic multi-asset allocation.
With a ₹10 lakh minimum, SIFs give larger investors access to these strategies with mutual fund taxation, without the ₹50 lakh entry point of a PMS.
